I am a returning player and I can recall not so long ago, when you had to have skillz and watch allot of youtube footage to down world bosses for equipment. Mainly weapons ill name one of my favorites just for fun was hands down cheiftan seandukal who would stone curse you and one shot an entire alliance if you didn't know what you were doing on that fight. yet people would gather for a shot at a great weapon 2 times a day to be exact. In fact guilds would war over who's turn it was to kill the boss. A much better weapon than thoes purchased with grindy quest coins by killing rats bats snakes and other usless garbage that requires no skill what so ever. I fear this is the product of a generation of scrubs farming on facebook and doing micro transactions to have better crops than that of there dear aunt sally.go you! While im on this rant one of my biggest reasons for leaving before was the obvious crash of the games economy the kina spam back then was 5 mill for 20$. we should have ip banned thoes bots rite then. now I can be the next Bill Gates for 5$ or the alternetive.. you guessed it more bats rats and grindy coins for the same eqipment that all your buddies are wearing only with a different skin.
3rdly why the hell are there no instances for the hell level grinds im only going to touch on the 60-65 one since thats the one im working on rite now for my second tour. you wanna take the grind out of leveling and keep players busy? put players in groups in instances so they are more busy paying attention at how awful there tank is or there cleric then how not moving there xp bar is? just an idea. one way to accomplish this take some of the cool instance servers you guys have made and move them to zones where they will get used and raise or lower the lvl entry. don't give me that run forts bull crap either im not hearing it. yes technically it would work and I would have no problem running upper forts but getting other players there is like pulling teeth. put together a group for ts you say? definitely that's the game play i like. It requires skill to a degree (dont evan get me started about how snobby our player base has gotten about gear and level to run instances) we used to run TS with all lvl 60's and argent manor with much worst gear than yall have now don't tell me it cant be done. Players run ts for what? gear and xp it works but what if the eye isnt open? sorry no TS today... if it is open hey you get 3 bars of xp and some fun with friends then its back to bats and sting rays until tomorrow.. or you can pug for a duo in bthm remeber that lvl 50 dungen that runs just like TS yep that one.. spam the hell outa that will get you some xp too.. wouldn't it be nice if there was a dungeon some where in the middle of 50 and 65 that wasn't ts? oh and when i said don't tell me about the upper forts please leave rentus and ranscrabs out of this too. as we all know they suck for xp and anything worth while.. hell turn elementis into a pvp free zone with all group mobs a couple dozen quests and rare weapons and armor off the bosses? if you put the pvp back in the abyss where it belongs that would not break my heart either only then you would have to have interesting story line and good pve zones and that cost money. I love to pvp but not when im being forced to kill bats rats and sting rays that feels offensive. I imagine its like making love to a gorilla. its not over untill the gorilla says so. so lets take a look at that for a second you have me killing a mob that takes no skill grinding my hp to nothing and the asmo wearing its free supper gear compliments of nc soft waiting on the hill to zerg me once my hp are low again no skill reqired supper gear check and prey with 200 hp left waiting for a pot to cool down PWND?? where the hell did the skill go in gaming? I love pvp when I want to pvp and manny players want nothing but pvp which is fine too we all know we can co exist if i want that type of pvp tho think ill go play call of duty where i get a sniper rifle and pop head shot re spawn no soul heal or long ass run across the desert to kill more bats and rats. as i stated earlyer I have been gone for a while who knows maybe i just dont get it? if there are any vets around who played back in beta like I did and played straight threw all the updates id love to hear your feed back. and maybe a few pointers on how to re emerse my self into the world of aion I so loved
